This version of the stove has an improved air intake. It features an 8 cm x 6 cm single air intake as opposed to the 5 x 5 cm double air intake described in the plans. A new set of plans will be available shortly. 14,000 of the stoves have been produced in DRC since January 2009.
Making a highly efficient refugee stove out of a StoveTec combustion chamber (Video)
In this video, Dean Still, Aprovecho Research Center, shows how to make a refugee stove using just the combustion chamber from a StoveTec Rocket stove. StoveTec sells the combustion chambers alone, as well as any other parts of their stoves being made in China.
